What is GlastoTag and how it works

GlastoTag is Orange’s attempt to set the world record for the most tagged online photo. With your help, we may even attempt to set the Guinness World Records™ record for the Most People Tagged in an Online Photo.

We will take several photographs of the crowd from the Pyramid Stage on Wednesday 23rd June 2010 at half time of the England World Cup match against Slovenia at approximately 3.45pm. The photo shoot will last for approximately 7 minutes. We will make sure that you know exactly when and how the photographs will be taken and when the photo shoot is finished.

We will put these photographs together to create one huge photograph of the Pyramid Stage Crowd (the ‘photo’). We will then upload the photo on the GlastoTag web site and make it available for tagging by people with a Facebook account.

Attempting the Guinness World Records™ record for the Most Tagged Photo Online

With your help, we aim at attempting to set the Guinness World Records™ record for the Most People Tagged in an Online Photo. To help us do this by tagging yourself and your Facebook friends you must either be 18 years of age or have appropriate consent from your parent or guardian. By submitting your email address and Facebook password to log on in order to start tagging yourself and/or your Facebook friends on the GlastoTag web site you represent and warrant to Orange that:

Orange reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to submit the tagged photo to Guinness World Records Ltd to attempt to set the Guinness World Records™ record for the Most People Tagged in an Online Photo, withdraw our submission at any time or not submit the tagged photo for a Guinness World Records™ record attempt at all.

When and how we will take the photographs

We will take many photographs of the crowd from the Pyramid Stage on Wednesday 23rd June at half time of the England World Cup match against Slovenia at approximately 3.45pm. The photo shoot will last for approximately 7 minutes and we will tell you exactly when it will start and when it will finish.

The photographs will be taken using high resolution cameras ensuring that if you want to be in the photo you will be clearly visible and recognisable even if you are at the very back.

How you will know

We will make sure that you know exactly when and how the photographs will be taken and what to do if you do not want to be in them. We are making the details available on the GlastoTag web site and these Terms & Conditions, in the Q Guide, the festival guide that will be distributed at the festival on the day, and in the Orange Chill 'n' Charge tent in the Glastonbury festival grounds.

We will also make several announcements on the stage before the photographs are taken. These will explain when and how we will take the photographs and what to do if you do not want to be in them. Just before we take the photographs, we will make another detailed on-stage announcement followed by a countdown before we start the photo shoot. We will also tell you when the photo shoot is finished.

How we will use the photographs

After we have taken the photographs, we will put them together to create one huge photograph of the crowd at the Pyramid Stage. We will then upload the photo on the GlastoTag web site and make it available from Tuesday 29 June for one month for people with a Facebook account to tag themselves and their Facebook friends using the Facebook Connect functionality.

We may extend the period for which the photo will be available for tagging and if we do this we will post an announcement on the GlastoTag web site

If we decide to submit the photo to Guinness World Records Ltd to attempt to set the Guinness World Records™ record for the Most People Tagged in an Online Photo, Guinness World Records Ltd may also need to hold and use the photo by itself and its affiliates and licensees for the purposes of:

How you can use the photograph

All intellectual property rights in the photo throughout the world belong to Orange. You may not use, adapt, vary or modify the photo other than by tagging yourself and your Facebook friends. You have no other rights in, or to, the photo. Orange may withdraw the photo from the GlastoTag? website at any time without notice.

What to do if you want to be in the photo

The only thing that you need to do to ensure you are in the photo is to be at the Pyramid Stage at 3.45 pm on Wednesday 23 June enjoying the football and having a good time with your mates. We will take care of the rest and will try to ensure that everyone who is there and wants to be in the photo will be in it, even if you are at the very back of the crowd.

What to do if you do not want your photograph to be taken

If you are in the Pyramid Stage crowd at that time but do not wish to be in the photo, you can turn around or hide your face when the countdown to the photographs starts. When we make the on-stage announcements we will give you clear guidance about when exactly and from where the photographs will be taken, how long the photo shoot will last for and what you can do if you do not wish to be in the photographs. We will also tell you when the photo shoot is finished.

How you can later remove yourself from the photo

Once the photo is uploaded on our web site, if you no longer wish to appear in it, please log on to the GlastoTag web site and click on the ‘how to remove yourself’ link which will always appear at the bottom of the web site.

Before we do this, we may ask you for proof of identification by means of a photo ID such as a driving license or passport. We will try to remove you from the photo within 3 working days and will give you a link where you can check that you have been removed from the photo.

Who you can tag and how

You will only be able to log on and get tagging if you have a Facebook account. You can only tag yourself and your Facebook friends. You must only tag your Facebook friends if you have previously told them that you want to tag them and they have agreed.
